The Fox River Grove Lions Club was formed on September 25, 1939 and has supported the village ever since. Although the club makes donations to the Cary Grove Food Pantry, has given equipment to the Fire and Police Departments, as well as numerous other community projects, the four (4) primary areas of concern are: helping the Visual and Hearing impaired and, working on Diabetes and Drug Awareness.

Fundraisers to support these projects are through the member's efforts of selling food and refreshments at the annual Arts & Crafts Fair or at FoxFest (formerly called the Village Picnic), both held in the FRG Lions Park.  Other fundraisers include an annual "Golf Outing" co-sponsored with the FRG Firefighter's Association and the FRG Lions Club, or standing "on the corner" or in front of a store on "Candy Day" receiving donations from a generous community. Selling raffle tickets also help to raise funds.

The Club currently meets at the Cary Country Club at 7:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month. Membership is by invitation and new members are always welcome. If interested in joining why not call one of the persons listed above, you'll be glad you did.
